Slurry Treatment Systems
Austunnel is the sole distributor for BAUER MAT Slurry Handling Systems, a BAUER Group company, for the tunnelling industry in this region.
Together with BAUER MAT, Austunnel will tailor complete slurry treatment and bentonite mixing solutions from the extensive range of ‘off the shelf’ modules. The modular design allows for rapid design, manufacture and deployment of fully scalable STP to suit any size project.
Widely used throughout Europe and now established in Australia, BAUER MAT and Austunnel bring together German engineering backed up by Australian service and support to ensure our customers have the quality and reliability they need to keep projects on schedule.

Separation
Desanding plants are employed to remove soil particles in drilling muds and support slurries used in foundation engineering. They can be either water-bentonite, water-polymere, or watercement and bentonite slurries. Desanding plants have further applications in gravel pits, in the mining industry and in tunneling projects.

Mixing
MAT Mixers are specifically designed to produce a flowable suspension from one or several fluids and one or several powder solids. Beside centrifugal, shear and cavitation forces caused by the mixing paddles, MAT Mixers utilize the turbulent kinetic flow energy that is generated by the pump to reach the best possible dispersion of the mixing components. This prevents the formation of solid accumulations and clusters and simultaneously results in a homogenous, optimally dispersed product. The MAT Mixing Technology can be used both for batch and continuous operation and is suitable for low to highly viscous mix consistencies.
Grouting
Bauer MAT Slurry Handling Systems produce a range of products for supporting grouting on site including injection plants, water tanks, and dosing systems.

Pumps
The Bauer Pumps BP 50 to BP 250 are typically deployed for charging various Bauer desilter units. They can additionally be applied in all fields of works which require centrifugal pumps. The pump units are provided with a protective frame and a base frame. They are powered by an electric motor and a V-belt. The overall unit can be controlled by a control box.
